Description
This GAMS file contains the implementation of the Generalized Benders' Decomposition method for the mathematical formulation based on the superstructure proposed in the paper "Synthesis of General Distillation Sequences - Nonsharp Separations" (Aggarwal and Floudas, 1990). The superstructure features simple columns (single feed and top and bottom products) and no heat integration between columns is considered. The formulation is a mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) problem. The implementation is based on the algorithmic procedure APROS (Paules and Floudas, 1989).
